Chaza is a hospitality concept for those seeking a deep connection with the countryside, a sense of time more aligned with natural rhythms, and a desire to explore a Sicily far from clichés and from distracted, hurried tourism. Chaza, which means “piazza” in Sicilian, is a project created by Arianna Occhipinti, a winemaker internationally recognized for her authentic, artisanal, and deeply terroir-driven approach.
Chaza was born from the idea of offering an authentic experience of the Sicilian rural world. This is a land of vineyards and olive groves, almond and prickly pear trees. The landscape is ancient and seductive. Calm and exhilarating. Staying at Chaza is the best way to connect with the ancestral nature of the Iblei mountains. The Chaza houses (Casa Grande and Casa Pietra) were built thanks to the ancient knowledge of local craftsmen and designed with the most modern architectural criteria.
The materials tell the story of a unique territory: wood, ceramic, iron, and above all, the white Iblean stone that forms the foundation of the structures.
Casa di Pietra was born from a desire to preserve and enhance the identity of the old rural houses, once the beating heart of farming life. Intimate and silent, it is a dwelling of atmosphere that invites you to slow down, rediscover yourself, and let yourself be enveloped by the charm of time.
The original materials, such as the living stone of the walls, bring authenticity and warmth to every room, making it the perfect choice for an intimate stay, dedicated to relaxation and simplicity.
Set within a large orchard, Casa Pietra welcomes guests with a cozy and bright living area. The living room and the "Very Simple: kitchen”, entirely made from stainless steel, come together in a functional and welcoming space. The two bedrooms, each with a private bathroom, offer reserved and quiet spaces; the main bathroom, spacious and well-appointed, completes the interior. Outside, a manicured garden houses a private swimming pool nestled in the greenery.
