Get into ODA creative lab

From decades so far, Milan has increasingly become the Italian center of creativity, a place to be when it comes to art, design and fashion. As a matter of fact, most of contemporary creatives choose it to establish their own practice, looking for a city surrounded by inspiration and opportunities.

This is what has been done by Turkish creative Ece Iyigun as well, setting her life in the Milanese prolific environment since 2018 after spending years around the world. She studied at Parsons School of Design in New York and worked there in a creative agency before moving to Venice, where she taught Print Making at Boston University. She moved to Milan in 2018 in order to found Beebee Lab, a children's workshop specialising in process art, and she eventually opened her creative activity called Oda in 2023.

Oda è la risOda is the answer to Ece’s daily need for art, color and beauty. It’s a warm and cozy fine art studio located in Porta Venezia neighborhood and designed as a contemporary artisan workshop. Within a single room Oda hosts a wide range of activities related to ceramics, drawings and the art of embroidery promoting events, courses and professionals who wants to showcase their projects.

Ece understands her space both as a focal point for the community and a refuge where everyone, from adults to children, can learn, relax and have fun. Thats why she wanted to surround herself with functional and minimal solutions, conceiving an interior project completely furnished with Very Simple: Kitchen’s products.

The core of the space is a linear kitchen configuration which stands out thanks to the combination of both a stainless steel structure and countertop. Beside the functional kitchen there is a group of movable tables where people can work and attend classes seating on comfortable and flexible white stools. The project is completed with a storage area where the Very Simple: Kitchen low library is pared with the brand’s c-shaped shelves able to host the wide ceramic production of the workshop.
